The mining industry is increasingly using geosynthetics to solve engineering problems, however there can be fundamental differences between designing geosynthetics for use within a mining project when compared to a standard civil engineering project (such as a road or railway).

In this lecture on mining applications, the student will learn through reviewing where geosynthetics are used in common mining applications, including -

- Ground support
- Retaining structures
- Containment
- Environmental
- Underground

The lecture is broken into four sections, each of up to 10 minute duration, to allow the student to participate in incremental sessions.  For a copy of the full DVD, please contact marketing at Geofabrics by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
